Qinglongshan Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Central-north Yunnan (border with southernmost Sichuan). The Qinglongshan Fm was named by Wang Kenan et al. in 1963. The type locality is the Qinglong Mt., Dongchuan, Yunnan Province. The reference section is in Sanfengkou-Yinmin, Dongchuan, Yunnan Province. It is the upper formation of the Dongchuan Gr.

Lithology and Thickness
The Qinglongshan Fm is dominated by greyish, dark-grey, medium-thick-bedded and massive dolomite, often sandwiched with siliceous sands or lumps, stromatolite-reef dolomite and slate. In Huili, the rock was highly metamorphosed, dominated by marble with schist and phyllite. The thickness varies from 1500 to 2000 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It is in conformable contact with underlying Heishan Fm.
Upper contact
Disconformably overlain by the Dayingpan Fm.
Regional extent
Central-north Yunnan (border with southernmost Sichuan). Central-north Yunnan (border with southernmost Sichuan). It distributed from Yinmin, Dongchuan, eastern Yunnan to Huili, Sichuan Province.
